Of course my favorite is Total Money Makeover by Dave Ramsey... but I also love Think and Grow Rich and The Richest Man in Babylon. What are your favorites and why?
I love Total Money Makeover and Think and Grow Rich too. Those are indispensable.
I also like the Wealthy Barber. Unlike other personal finance books, this is written as a fictional story, which helps you remember the key points more easily. I would consider it must reading for high schoolers and twenty somethings, in particular, although anyone would benefit from it.
Mary Hunt's Debt-Proof Livingwas the first money related book I ever read. Since that point I have read Mary Hunt'sTotal Money Makeover; and David Bach's Automatic Millionaire . There are several other resources I have recently invested in that are indirectly related to money, career, life, etc which are all strangely related (at least in my life).
Amy is The Richest Man in Babylon a good read? I saw it on a reading list a week or so ago, and saw it today at borders but was not sure if it was worth my time.
i second nomorespending....Your Money or Your Life is tied with The Total Money Makeover for my top two favorite books. I just read Your Money or Your Life and wrote a detailed review on my site. I also like The Money Trap and of course Millionaire Mind.
I really haven't read many. It's embarassing to say. I've perused bits of Mary Hunt's stuff. I have read Dave Ramsey's TMMO and Financial Peace Revisited a few times. I just picked up with his ideas and ran with them. I do need to broaden my horizons a bit though. I need to pick up a new book for a change!
i just reserved a copy of total money makeover at our library today. haven't really had the opportunity to read financial books. looking forward to reading
I have read all of Dave Ramsey's books and loved them all. I like The Millionaire Next Door, and The Average Family's Guide to Financial Freedom: How You Can Save a Small Fortune on a Modest Income.
My favorite book about finance is the "Ten Secrets of the Rich" which is written by Al Sembrano. I think that this is the best book on finance. I haven’t been able to read another book about finance. Can you suggest some?
