Hello,

I have been looking into several different options for my family. Depending on what your attributes are, I have found two things useful for us. On the Budget side -- the www.YNAB.com is a great way of looking at finances on the budget side. Also, I found recently that the latest version of Quicken has followed suite on YNAB's way of "enveloping" your funds (not just YNAB, but an excellent senerio for controlling money) (I had used Quicken for years, frustrated I couldn't do what YNAB teaches until after I started using YNAB (for 3 months) - plus the Quicken upgrade charge (since I am using their 2006 version))

On reducing debt -- I finally found an Excel spread sheet that will calculate a "Debt Snowball." I found it at http://www.goodsenseministry.com/resources/curriculum_budget_course...

I know it is a daunting task on my side of things. I hope these few ideas help you greatly!

i use crown money map financial software (http://crown.org/cartproducts/product.asp?sku=MM966&aid=)
it uses the envelope system--the one that dave ramsey talks about (http://www.daveramsey.com/etc/cms/index.cfm?intContentID=3461). i find it very helpful and i definitely recommend it.
