I noticed that there was a forum for moms working at home...so I thought I would start a discussion. I am a writer....I just began working at home last fall, up to that point I was an insurance agent for Allstate. I was not happy with my job, and hated the 3 hour total commute every day. So, I decided to jump into this working at home stuff with both feet.
I am so happy I did...I am much happier working at home...and it has saved me tons on wardrobe, since I work in my flannels most of the time.
I am a freelance writer, ghostwriter and working my way into copywriting. I can't say this has been an easy transition, it has been everything but easy. I work many hours with very little free time to myself, however, I can see it paying off in the end. I feel like I have a future ahead of me, doing something that I enjoy, instead of going into the same job day in and day out. I love to be creative in my work, and well, insurance just isn't a very creative venue. I hope to get to know each of your here, learn from you and hopefully help you in any way I can. We are all in this together!
