About Me:
I'm in debt over my eyeballs and may be approaching bankruptcy. I won't know for awhile. I'm also in a career transition with a decreased income at present, which makes it even harder. I'm working and praying a lot to make my income increase faster than the process server can sit down with us for coffee (he's been out to see us a few times now and we're getting to know each other). I am getting a front-row seat to what Dave Ramsey lived through 20 years ago.

Why I Want to Be Debt Free
First is peace of mind. This is driving me crazy. I was never in debt before I was laid off and started a business using credit, which led to more credit. Now I can't pay all the bills. I didn't have the right people around me advising me when I started my business and now I'm at the bottom of a very deep hole. I'm closing that business and moving on to another business, at least one part-time job, and perhaps another business or full-time job. I'm not sure yet. I'm still working on "48 days to the work you love" by Dan Miller.

Ultimately, I want to be a philanthropist and not only leave my son an inheritance, I want to leave a foundation to help single parents get and live debt free for generations to come.
