Ah, so now it starts to get interesting.
I am currently the only source of income for our family. And, as of this past weekend, I am currently on bedrest. Oh bother.
I cannot begin to tell you the panic I felt at first. I'm looking at up to 12 weeks on bedrest (hopefully more like 8) but that's a lot of time with no income. But, after taking a step back and looking at the situation, we should be fine. We have been saving for maternity leave anyway, so we have a decent amount set aside to pay expenses. We have a FFEF that has not been touched. As much as I hate the thought of using that money, it's there and available for us. We are also expecting a tax refund and the Tax Rebate during that time.
We should still be firmly on our feet. We won't have the money left over that I was hoping to - but we'll just start back up where we left off. No harm done.
I'm going to try and relax. Thank heavens for Dave Ramsey and the plan to save for emergencies. This could have been very serious! As it is, it's just a bump in the road and I'm thankful.
