I just did my taxes for the first time in a LONG time. I only did them for 2007, though. I have to call somebody, a tax expert, I guess? And see what I need to do about the years I did not file them. Of course, I can't find my NetFile access code so even though I've processed my taxes and have the results ready to send, I can't send them. I'm a bit bummed about this because this is something I really wanted to accomplish today. They won't give me a new ## over the internet or telephone because I don't know what line 150 was from my 2006 tax return. (Because I didn't file one, ugh!) So now I just have to hope they send me one in the mail like they usually do or I have to file via paper which I've got no clue how to do.

So I guess I have some homework today.

At least it's all sorted, though. The number crunching is done. That's one step out of the way.

It's not a very big return but I only worked three out of 12 months in 2007 so that is to be expected. It will be nice to get even that little amount of money back and also to be eligible for GST checks again.

As long as they owe you and not the other way around, there's no penalty for filing late.

I hear you on that one!! This reminds me of how I should be very grateful for that as I know so many people who aren't getting returns this year and have to pay money back instead.
